So it begins!!

This is the official start to my blog, which means that my departure date is coming up - and FAST! To be exact, it's in two days! I leave on Saturday! The day after tomorrow! Whoa. It still doesn't seem real to me!

So, just a little about me and this blog. I just finished my junior year at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am a Communication major with a History minor and I'm graduating in exactly ONE year. Nuts. Through the study abroad office on campus I found this internship program over in Ireland for the summer; I applied for it and got in, and that is where I am right now! The students in the program, along with other students from different colleges in the same program, are going to be living in Dublin in student housing (apartments) while interning at different place. Also, my friend Larissa and I are going to enjoy this adventure together (and hopefully be living together), which is SO exiting (go check out her blog! Destination Dublin).
My blog is for everyone in the states to enjoy, as well as to keep track of my experiences over in Ireland. It will be nice to have some pictures with my thoughts together in once place.
SO. Here are the conditions for this blog. I am going to take a picture EVERYDAY between now and when I come back to the US (Aug. 16th?) and post it on here with a little entry about the picture and what I've been up to.
SHOUTOUT to Britt Reiser, who was in my Communication, Language and Thought class this past semester. She gave me the idea for this blog since she has basically the same thing on her FaceBook. So thanks Britt! You rock!

Anyway. I think that's enough background for everyone.

THIS picture, is a picture of my new shooooooooes!! I just love them. I got them the other day from Journey's - they are my brand new Sperry's! SO CUTE. And so comfy! I wanted them for my birthday but when I didn't get them, I decided to buy them for Ireland. They will look so cute with jeans! I can't wait to wear them. Only problem is that they aren't waterproof! Which probably wasn't the smartest thing, because it rains in Dublin like everyday! I'm hoping I can waterproof them and they will be good for the outdoors. Anyway, so excited for my NEW SHOES!

Okie dokie, that's it. I'm at the library right now - I need to get some preliminary research for the 20 page paper I need to write on an Irish political speech while I'm over there. So gotta quit procrastinating! I hope you enjoy! I know I'm going to!

;)
