Hello!!
I hope all you beautiful people are doing great!
So today, I moved into my student housing! It is nice but definitely student housing, that's for sure! This is a picture of my room...it's like a dorm, but in the form of an apartment. I'm living with 3 other girls (Larissa, and Erin and Amanda, who are awesome), but we all have our own bathrooms and shared living room and kitchen, which isn't too bad. Our apartment is just one of many (obviously) in a student-housing-complex that is basically that of a dorm. Pretty standard, but I get a bed and private bathroom so I can't complain. AND, I now know of my address, so if you would like it, get in contact with me and I will let you know what it is!
I got to the complex around 10:30 this morning and unpacked everything and then waited to meet my roommates and for Larissa to get here. Then we all walked to a shopping center about 10 minutes away and got some groceries/toiletries and stuff.
After we all came back and rested we went to a local pub just down the street called The Comet. We heard about it from another girl, Emily, from CSU, and decided that we should go there and try it out; so we did! And it was so much fun!
This is a picture of me, Larissa, Amanda and Erin at the end of the night outside of the pub. Anyway, at the pub everyone was ordering beer (and I REALLY don't like beer), so instead I ordered a Bulmer Cider. And it was GOOOOOOOOOD! It sort of tasted like beer but with a less hop-ey taste and more of a sweet taste; so I had a couple of those.
Here is another picture of us all outside the pub...
After and couple of beers and Bulmers, we decided to order a couple "Baby Guinness's," which is a shot glass filed almost to the top with Guinness beer, but then topped off with Bailey's. And when you take it, it tastes exactly like Bailey's, and is SO delicious!! Here's a picture...
YUM! It was so delicious, I'm pretty sure that is what I'll be drinking the whole time I'm over here.
This is me with a Bulmers...

Anyway, overall it was a good day and a GREAT night of drinking, talking, and experiencing my first Irish pub!
Tomorrow, all of the EUSA kids are in for an "official" orientation, where we will learn about the bus system, our internships, etc. So that should be interesting. A couple of us are talking about heading down to the City Centre for a night of crazy-ness, which I'm SUPER excited for.
I don't think any of us will be interning until next week, so I think we have this week all to ourselves. I have a couple place I want to visit before I start working (Trinity College, the Guinness storehouse, St. Stephen's Green, etc).
Anyways, that is entirely more than one picture for today - sorry the post is so late (about 1:00 am my time) but I've been busy!
That is it for tonight! Loved my first experience in an Irish pub tonight, that's for sure. But I'm excited for more Irish adventures from here on out!
Until then.
;)
