Anyways.....
This weekend was fun! We just hung out in Dublin because EUSA was putting on some events for us and we didn't want to miss that.
Yesterday we went to the BBQ (luckily they had a vegetarian option for me, which was kind of weird, but good) and then we took the DART to Howth for the rest of the evening. We had a little more time than we did last weekend so we were able to grab some dinner from this cute restaurant called The Bloody Stream and then we walked along the beach. I REALLY enjoyed the beach. And by that I mean that I was so excited to be near the ocean that I was acting like a little kid would because I was so excited. I was running up and down on the sand, and doing cartwheels and sinking my feet in the sand - it was SO fun! And I don't really get the chance to go to beaches a lot, so I just wanted to take advantage of this opportunity and goof around and have a fun time.
We went on kind of a cloudy and gloomy day, but it was still so pretty!!
This is when I was playing in the water with my feet! I was squishing my toes in the sand under the water and it looked really cool and felt even cooler, so I took a picture! So fun!
So Howth was a lot of fun. I ended up getting pretty dirty by the end of the day though...there was sand on my wet jeans because I was splashing around and sand on my shirt from landing my cartwheels and handstands. But it was worth it! The water was kind of cold, but it was a great time!
Today was a really cool day...through our program costs we paid to go see a hurling match. And MAN, that was really crazy. A LOT different than any kind of American sport, that's for sure. It is a sport that always has a lot of action and it is definitely a sport that takes an excessive amount of talent. It is just unbelievable, and really hard to even try to describe. If you don't know what hurling is, go Google it and watch a video of it; it was just so awesome.
And for some reason my blog isn't letting me put a picture from today's hurling match up :( Oh well, I can put some up tomorrow, yes?
Ohkay, tomorrow is Monday, so I need to hit the hay so I can start the week off relatively fresh. I hope everyone back home is having a great Fourth of July weekend!! I'll update tomorrow!
Until then.
;)
